Big Data and advertising ethics will be two of the primary focuses at Sitges Next 2016

Juan de Dios Llamas and Gem Romero, first professionals to be confirmed for the lineup of the festival of innovation in communication

Sitges Next 2016, to be held on 29 and 30 April, is revving its engines and releasing its first two confirmations. The Festival will be offering eight conferences and two workshops as part of a lineup that will address the latest trends in communication and present different success stories. Sitges Next’s lineup has been put together by the team from Generació Digital, the area of technology, leisure and digital culture at the Corporació Catalana de Mitjans Audiovisuals (Catalan Corporation of Audiovisual Media).

Juan de Dios Llamas, director of digital intelligence at JWT, one of the most internationally renowned agencies, will be offering the presentation “How to survive Big Data”. Llamas will show us how to make use of an extremely powerful tool for both brands and for agencies, to get a better understanding of their consumers. In addition, there will be a real time exercise to analyze data on a certain aspect of Sitges Next.

The second lineup preview is the workshop “Ethics as a competitive advantage in advertising”, that will deal with the development of a specific strategy based on ethical and social values for a brand. The professional who will be conducting the workshop is Gem Romero, director of strategic planning for LOLA MullenLowe, one of the internationally famous benchmark agencies.
