‘What’s Next?’ is the slogan for this year’s Festival, looking for innovation as a driving force for change
Sitges Next has got everything all ready for a new edition dedicated to exploring innovation in the world of brand communication, creativity and new trends in digital culture. The program is divided into thematic groups representing industries of great importance today: automotive, banking, music and tourism. Talks, presentations of success stories, round table discussions and networking sessions make up a festival that for two days –May 4th and 5th– will be bringing together communicators, creatives, publicists, entrepreneurs and people responsible for marketing and strategy in different fields.
The competition announces its complete program and has already presented its new graphic image, conceived by the Ogilvy agency, featuring the slogan What’s Next. “Being one step ahead has always been a question of survival as it also is in communication. Either you innovate or you’re doomed to the fact that your messages won’t come across. Because the thing that pushes us towards the future has always been the answer to this question. So to answer it and represent what lies ahead, we’ve given an advertising nod to Max Headroom and his cyberpunk movement”, its creator explained.
Sitges Next 2018 will be two days of sharing experiences and sensations. The presentations and panels will take place at the Retiro Theater in Sitges, while the evening of Friday May 4th, the meeting point will be the Yacht Club, which will be hosting the Sitges Next 2018 official dinner and party. A good time for networking with spectacular views.
A jury made up of prestigious professionals –to be announced over the next few days– will be selecting the most innovative international campaigns and including them in the Next to Watch 2018 list, to be presented on Saturday, May 5th at noon. Sitges Next is promoted by the Sitges Town Council, La Xarxa per a la Comunicació Local (Network for Local Communication) and the Custer Audiovisual de Catalunya (Catalan Audiovisual Cluster).
Tickets and passes will be going on sale in the next few days via the Festival’s website.
